Watering Schedule

Deep-root water by hand for 30 days to establish properly.

Week 1-4 every day (preferably with hose or soaker hose vs. sprinklers)

Week 5 every other day

Week 6 every two days

Week 7 on your scheduled watering days

• Same restrictions apply to private wells. Observe community and HOA restrictions
• Water only when needed and not between 10am and 4pm (early morning is best)
• Apply 1” of water per week in warm weather
or
• Apply 1” of water every 2 weeks in cool weather

Pruning Schedule

• Cold-hardy plants can be pruned Mar-Aug
• Tropicals should be pruned April-Aug
• Some plants, like azaleas and crape myrtles, have specific periods to be pruned. If you are unsure, just ask.

Fertilizer Schedule

• Fertilize 3 to 4 times per year and follow manufacturer’s directions
• Most plants can be fertilized with Plant-tone or Holly-tone
• For acid-loving plants, use Holly-tone
• For edibles, use Citrus-tone or Tomato-tone
• For palms, use Palm-tone or Sunniland Palm Fertilizer
