Lindley's Nursery and Garden Center has been a part of New Smyrna Beach since 1972. In 2000, Lindley's was purchased by the Pell girls, a mother and two daughters with a desire to be small business owners and work with people and plants. Located just minutes from the beach, it has always been a family-owned and operated independent plant nursery and garden shop.

In 2006, Lindley's moved from the original 4 1/2 acre location on SR 44 to a more urban location in historic downtown New Smyrna Beach. 2006 was a BIG year. It didn't involve just moving a nursery, Jenni and Lauren started full time college studies with the University of Florida, graduating with B.S. degrees from the College of Agriculture in December 2008.

Renovations are ongoing at the nursery and garden center. The 3000 sq ft garden center showroom was a former plumbing supply store. The plant nursery had three houses and a double carport which have since been demolished to create more room for flowering shrubs, trees, palms, annuals, perennials, veggies and herbs.
