Whether it is an existing plant or new planting, these factors weigh in on all of us getting it right…
- Sun or shade location
- Height and spread of plant
- Use and color
- Watering conditions
- Soil pH (soil sampling available)
- Bring photos, samples and sketches

- Choose a sunny location, at least 50% or a minimum of 6-7 hours of sunlight.
- Most citrus should be pruned lightly in early spring.
- Fertilize 3-4 times per year between February and October, water in well.
- Use a Citrus fertilizer that is a special blend made just for citrus.
- Regular use of Black Kow, composted cow manure or other organic soil amendments will improve the taste and production of fruit.
- Keep area under tree clear of weeds, grass or mulch.
- Citrus trees need regular water.

- Prune drying palm fronds only as needed.
- Fertilize 3-4 times per year between February and October
- Use a Palm fertilizer that is specially blended for palms
- Most palms have low to moderate water needs after established
